Gepco has introduced the VHD2000M, a flexible HD coax cable designed for High-Definition video patching applications. The RG59 type High-Definition video coax is certified to a 3GHz bandwidth for 1.485 Gb/s HDTV transmission. VHD2000M works with patch cord and portable video patching applications in HDTV, Standard SDI and high-resolution analog video formats.
VHD2000M features a precision stranded center conductor, a double braided shield, and a matte PVC jacket for flexibility and flex-life. For the insulating dielectric, VHD2000M utilizes Gepco’s proprietary crush-resistant, gas-injected polyethylene compound that aims to reduce attenuation and extend the operating bandwidth.
All electrical specifications meet or exceed the SMPTE 292M standards for HD coax, while the mechanical dimensions conform to industry leading tolerances that ensure consistent stripping and connector termination.
