For the fourth consecutive year, the Harman Pro Group is offering its “harman: how to listen” vocal music scholarships at the New England Music Camp (NEMC) in the Belgrade Lakes region of Sidney, Maine. The scholarships for NEMC are awarded through audition and are based upon merit.
NEMC is open to 195 young people from the U.S. and from other countries with a wide range of musical abilities. Since 1937, NEMC has blended its high-quality and intensive musical education with popular sports and recreational activities. Campers design their own programs in a supportive community environment.
The weekly program includes two private lessons, participation in one or more major performing groups, and practice time. Campers choose from classes such as theory, harmony, composition, conducting, sight-singing, jazz appreciation, musical theater workshop, diction, voice class and improvisation.
