Heil Sound has introduced its Pink Pearl PR20 large diaphragm vocal microphone, the first model in its new Spotlight Series emblazoned with the pink ribbon on the PR20 Pink Pearl finish. Proceeds from sales will be donated to The Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation for the purpose of raising the awareness of breast health and breast cancer.
“Our own family has been affected by this terrible disease, and this is our way of helping raise the awareness of breast cancer,” says Sarah Heil, vice president of Heil Sound. ”Early detection is the key to beating this thing, and if we can help through being proactive in the entertainment industry, then the Pink Pearl will have been a success.”
Heil has retained the services of Guesthouse Projects in Palm Springs, Calif. to promote its “Pink Campaign,” which will bring artists together with microphones that promote a wonderful cause. “I started Guesthouse Projects with the intent of working directly with a manufacturer to establish and nurture a relationship between the company, the artist/artist management and production groups,” says owner Greg McVeigh. “The Pink Campaign allows artists to endorse the cause and use great sounding microphones.”
