Inaugural P&E Wing Latin Grammy Week Celebration Takes Place November 19

As the official start of Latin Grammy Week in Las Vegas, the Producers & Engineers Wing of The Recording Academy, in partnership with the Latin Recording Academy, will hold its first-ever Latin Grammy Week celebration, titled “En La Mezcla” (“In the Mix”), an invitation-only cocktail reception celebrating the diverse group of Spanish-, English- and Portuguese-speaking individuals who work “behind the glass”, as well as acknowledging current producers and engineers nominated for Latin Grammy Awards within their respective categories.

Taking place Tuesday, November 19, from 8 p.m. to 11 p.m. at Studio at the Palms (inside Palms Casino Resort), “En La Mezcla” will be co-hosted by Grammy and Latin Grammy Award-winning producers and engineers Carlos Alvarez, Rafael Arcaute and Moogie Canazio. Gabriel Abaroa Jr., President/CEO of the Latin Recording Academy, and Neil Portnow, President/CEO of the Recording Academy, will be in attendance, as well as key members of the P&E Wing community. DJ Nino will perform live.

“En La Mezcla” joins the itinerary of events held by the P&E Wing around the country that provide a platform for key industry leaders to meet and exchange ideas in a casual and social environment.

The event is sponsored by Harman Professional brands AKG, Lexicon and JBL Professional, with beverages provided by Heineken.
