JBL is once again supporting the METAlliance (Music Engineering and Technical Alliance) in presenting the organization’s second “In Session” event, which will take place in New York City February 19-20, 2011, at Avatar Studios. “In Session with The Guys” attendees will participate and interact with the METAlliance founders in live recording and mixing sessions.
JBL 6300 Monitor systems will be used throughout the event, and free JBL RMC Room Mode Correction Calibration Kits, valued at $270 each, will be given to those who register by January 18, 2011. Amenities include catered food and a special private gathering February 18th for those who register by January 18, 2011.
The inaugural 2010 METAlliance event was held in Hollywood at the historic studios in the Capitol Records tower. Participants got a close-up look at basic tracking and mic techniques; in the separate mixing sessions they were engaged in the processes in significant detail and participated in critical listening.
“JBL consistently supports our efforts to spread awareness in our mission to promote better quality in audio,” says METAlliance co-founder Frank Filipetti. “They’ve been with us every step of the way, and we’re honored to have them with us again at Avatar in NYC this February. George Massenburg and I want JBL LSR-6328’s and a 6312 [subwoofer] in our ‘Mix in the Box’ suite.”
Peter Chaikin, JBL Pro, Director of Recording and Broadcast Marketing, adds, “We’re proud to support METAlliance, and these workshop events are a great way to demonstrate our monitors in a number of demanding working situations with a diversity of requirements.”
The METAlliance has certified the award-winning JBL LSR6300 Series professional loudspeakers.
