English singer/songwriter Tom McRae recently mixed his new album, All Maps Welcome, at Ocean Way Recording Studios in Los Angeles with engineer/co-producer Joe Chiccarelli. Mix sessions took place in Studio D on the Neve 88R console. Recording sessions took place at The Paramour, where a complete location recording package was provided by Classic Equipment Rentals, affectionately known as “Ocean Way to Go.”

McRae, cellist Oli Kraus and keyboardist Olli Cunningham stayed in a three-bedroom house on the estate, where a tracking space was set up on the first floor and a full control room set up on the second floor. Other musicians who joined the project include Joey Waronker on drums, Lyle Workman on guitar, Justin Meldal Johnson and Dan Rothchild (son of producer Paul Rothchild) on bass. Mike Hedges served as executive producer for the Sony/BMG album, which is scheduled for May release in the UK, with international release to follow.
