L.A. City Council to Conduct Hearing on Fate of Capitol Studios in Hollywood

On June 24, the Los Angeles City Council will conduct a critical public hearing regarding a proposed condominium development in Hollywood that will severely impact the operation of Capitol Studios’ historic, in-demand subterranean echo chambers designed by Les Paul.

The hearing takes place Tuesday, June 24 from 2 p.m. until 5 p.m. Pacific Daylight Time (PDT) in Los Angeles City Hall, at 200 North Spring Street, in Edward R. Roybal Hearing Room #350. Those who wish to speak will be asked to fill out a speaker card at the back of the room. Remarks are limited by the Committee to two minutes.

In addition, Heritage Hollywood started an online petition to save Capitol Studios. The petition text is here and concerned parties may sign the online petition.
