M-Audio has announced an exclusive worldwide deal with German manufacturer Wizoo, the creator of software instruments such as Virtual Guitarist and Hypersonic. Under the terms of the agreement, M-Audio will distribute Wizoo’s upcoming line of software instruments.
Founded in 1997 as a book publisher and developer of sample CDs, Wizoo has created tools such as Virtual Guitarist, The Grand, Xphraze and Hypersonic released by Steinberg. With the involvement of former Steinberg owner Manfred Ruerup, Wizoo currently develops its own line of software instruments as well as products and technology for major music manufacturers.
M-Audio, founded in 1988, is now a business unit of Digidesign, the audio division of Avid Technology, Inc., In addition to releasing its own products, M-Audio also wholly owns Evolution Electronics LTD and distributes Propellerhead’s Reason, Ableton’s Live, Sonic Reality’s ReFills and ArKaos VJ.
