M-Audio is now shipping its Studiophile DX4 (MSRP: $199.95) amplified, dual-driver monitors. The DX4s offer 18 watts of high-quality audio reproduction per channel, and features 4-inch low-frequency drivers and 1-inch mylar tweeters with OptImage waveguide technology. The DX4s’ fully shielded design facilitates a variety of placement options, including any desktop setup.
The back panel feature RCA and 1/4-inch inputs and a mid-cut switch. The front panel hosts a rotary volume control and a 1/8-inch headphone jack. The speakers are automatically muted when headphones are inserted.
