Mackie Announces CFX Series Mixers

Mackie has announced updated versions of their CFX range of live sound effects mixers.

Mackie has announced updated versions of their CFX range of live sound effects mixers. Scheduled for release later this year, the new CFX.mkII Series mixers have been updated with new Onyx series knobs, new graphics and the addition of impact-resistant rubber side panels.

Available in 12, 16 and 20 channel configurations, the CFX.mkII Series mixers all feature four subgroups, precise 9-band stereo graphic equalizers, and Mackie’s high-quality EMAC TM 32-bit digital effects processor that virtually eliminates the need for outboard effects processors.

All CFX.mkII mic/line channels have unbalanced inserts and input trim controls with individual Zero Level LEDs, 3-band EQ with swept midrange, and 100Hz low-cut filers. Each channel strip has a 60mm long-taper fader, one external and one internal/external effects send; plus two aux sends, pan, mute, solo (PFL), and bus assigns. All three models allow two separate stage monitor mixes to be created with their own effects levels.

The Mackie CFX.mkII Series will be available from authorized Mackie dealers in early Q2, 2005. The CFX12.mkII has a manufacturer’s suggested retail value of $599, while the CFX16.mkII is priced $749, and CFX20.mkII is now $899.
