Martin Audio Aids Music for Relief

Rallying in support of victims of the tsunami in southern Asia, the music community came together with a special concert featuring an eclectic lineup of artists including No Doubt, Jay-Z, Story of the Year, DJ Crystal Method, Rappers Jurassic 5 and guests such as Gavin Rossdale of Bush, Rob Zombie and other alt-metal favorites.

Rallying in support of victims of the tsunami in southern Asia, the music community came together with a special concert featuring an eclectic lineup of artists including No Doubt, Jay-Z, Story of the Year, DJ Crystal Method, Rappers Jurassic 5 and guests such as Gavin Rossdale of Bush, Rob Zombie and other alt-metal favorites.

Music for Relief, a collaboration of No Doubt, Linkin Park and others, is expected to generate from $1 to $1.5 million for UNICEF and Habitat for Humanity to help survivors rebuild their homes and their lives.

Delicate Productions of Camarillo, California handled the production for the event, with a Martin Audio line arrays consisting of 12 W8Ls w/4 W8LCs underhung as downfill per side for the Main Clusters, 12 W8LCs per side for Side Bleachers: 4 W8CS & 4 W8C per side (short throw – completes 270 deg coverage) for Side to Rear Bleachers: Flown Subs: 6 W8LS per Side; Floor Subs: 8 BSX per side and Front Fills: 4 pairs W8LM (on Floor Subs).

Monitors included 2 Martin Audio F2B & 2 F2 Combinations per side for Flown Side Fills plus 4 F1B & 4 F1T and 27 LE700 Wedges as Drum Fills.

The rest of the system consisted two Midas Heritage H3000 monitor consoles; two Yamaha PM5000 house consoles and for FOH EQ, two TC EQ stations in 8×8 matrix mode.
