McDSP announces Windows support for its Version 5 line of products. The McDSP V. 5 line includes Audio Units (AU) support, the 6030 Ultimate Compressor plug-in, and the Classic Pack Next Generation plug-in collection.

McDSP V. 5 now includes support for Windows XP, Vista and Windows 7 along with Intel Mac systems running Mac OS 10.5.x (Leopard), 10.6.x (Snow Leopard), and 10.7.x (Lion).

Existing McDSP customers can still upgrade each McDSP plug-in (HD or Native) to v5 for $29 per plug-in; McDSP states that this price is available only until October 17, 2011.

The new 6030 Ultimate Compressor uses McDSP's compression algorithm code base and offers new user interfaces and a collection of new designs mixed with unique twists on vintage emulations. The 6030 Ultimate Compressor is available individually for $449 HD or $249 Native, or as an upgrade to Emerald Pack V. 5 for $299 HD or Native for Emerald Pack V. 4 customers.

The McDSP Classic Pack plug-in lineup has been updated in the V. 5 release to include new user interfaces and new features. Pro Tools customers also receive support for the legacy versions of Classic Pack plug-ins.

McDSP's new version of the Project Studio LE bundle offers Windows and Mac support for $79 (electronic download only). Project Studio includes Analog Channel LE, FilterBank LE, CompressorBank LE, ML4000 LE, and Revolver LE.

The Project Studio LE bundle now includes complete support for Windows XP, Vista and Windows 7 along with Intel Mac systems running Mac OS 10.5.x (Leopard), 10.6.x (Snow Leopard), and 10.7.x (Lion).

For a limited time only, existing or new Project Studio owners may upgrade Revolver LE to Native for $49. McDSP adds that Revolver LE no longer supports the M5000 or DSP45000 IR-based presets; however, support for these presets is added when upgrading from LE to Native.
