Mitch Raboy at Mixopolis, NYC with his Dynaudio Acoustics AIR 6s
Mixopolis, a new audio post facility in midtown Manhattan, has selected Dynaudio Acoustics AIR Series monitors and subwoofers for the surround systems in their mixing rooms.
Mitch Raboy, a partner at Mixopolis and a 25-year veteran of the New York audio post-production scene, reports, “We chose AIR 6s and AIR Base 2 for 5.1 monitoring in both of our mixing rooms. We listened to many other speakers—these sounded great right out of the box. Analog and digital inputs, internal bass management, parametric EQ, and being able to recall presets from the remote are all really great features. And fine tuning these systems is a snap. They are the best sounding speakers we have ever worked with.”
AIR Series is an intelligent monitor system with DSP and PWM amplification to allow users to compensate for acoustic differences in different environments. The monitors are networked together with TC LINK, which allows for central remote control, preset storage and recall, and alignment flexibility.
Mixopolis is located on the top floor of a seven-story building just one half block from the north entrance of Grand Central Station. The studio features a spacious living room studded with skylights, two record/mix rooms and a sound design room.
