MSPE Announces New Board

The Motion Picture Sound Editors (MPSE) has announced the election of its new Board of Directors.

The Motion Picture Sound Editors (MPSE) has announced the election of its new Board of Directors. Newly elected to two-year terms on the Board of Directors are sound editors Harry Cheney (Bottle Rocket, Dracula), Jeremy J. Gordon (The OC, Smallville), Robert Hargreaves (Duck Dodgers, Batman Beyond) Anne-Marie Slack (Bring it On, House of 1000 Corpses), Roland Thai (L.A. Confidential, City of God), and Steven D. Williams (Thirteen Days, Army of Darkness). Marc Lanza (JFK, Glory) was appointed as Secretary in a special election.

Joanie Diener (American Beauty, Far From Heaven) was elected as music editor. Kevin Howard (Witchblade, Legend of Butch & Sundance) has been elected as the first international board member, and New York editor Ahmad Shirazi (vThe Kid Stays in the Picture, Billy Bathgate) was also elected to the out-of-area position. Donna Walker (The Good Girl, Gothika) was elected to affiliate position.

Re-elected were music editor Steven Saltzman (Heartbreakers, The Preacher’s Wife) and sound editors Gary Friedman (Dr. Quinn, See Jane Run), Elliot Koretz (Collateral, Miracle) and Albert E. Lord, III (Eve’s Bayou, And the Band Played On).

The 52 annual MPSE Golden Reel Awards will be held February 26, 2005 in the Los Angeles Ballroom of the Century Plaza Hotel in Los Angeles. For more information, please visit http://mpse.org.
