According to SSL, the company has sent 70 Solid State Logic C-Series consoles into the field, used for post, broadcast and music production applications. The new C200 V. 3, introduced at the recent NAB trade show in Las Vegas adds control and integration features that benefit all of these applications.

Headline items include support for a new DAW Control option, providing true workstation integration and using experience and technology from the successful AWS 900 system. Direct control of the workstation is established from the C200’s control surface, including plug-in access and editing control.

A new snapshot system allows sequencing and crossfade of console setups under manual or automated control. In broadcast and live applications, the new snapshot capabilities allow smooth, sophisticated scene changes, intended for use during complex entertainment shows that mix live music and dialog.

An enhanced monitor matrix allows independent adjustment of gain for individual return channels, for use in complex post-production applications where multiple stem returns need to be monitored simultaneously.

“The C200 is an accomplished performer across a number of diverse applications” comments Niall Feldman, director of product marketing. “This new V. 3 package has been developed in response to feedback from many of our clients. Features such as the new DAW integration option and snapshot system are examples of the C200’s power and flexibility.”
