NAMM 2012 H.O.T. Zone Studio Summit, Deadline to Register is December 20

SPARS (Society of Professional Audio Recording Services) announces that Tuesday, December 20, is the deadline to register for its NAMM 2012 H.O.T. Zone Studio Summit, which will take place Saturday, January 21, 2012, from 12 p.m. to 4 p.m. at the Anaheim Convention Center (upper level, Room 203 A&B). The theme is “When a Professional Studio is Needed,” addressing the role of professional studios in the overall recording process.

According to SPARS, “We have seen an explosion of smaller project studios and much work can be accomplished in these studios. However, there comes a time when recording at a professional studio may become necessary. Featured in this summit are studio operators combined with artists, producers and engineers to discuss the role of professional studios and how they are selected and used.”

The participants are Tom Kenny, Editor of Mix magazine; producer/engineer Joe Chiccarelli; producer/engineer Michael Lloyd; producer/engineer Barak Moffitt, Executive Vice President, EMI Group; Jeff Greenberg of Village Recording Studios; Jason Upright and Ed Woolley of Firehouse Recording Studios; Candace Stewart of EastWest Studios; Dave Lichtenstein of 25th Street Recording; and Kirk Imamura of Avatar Studios.
