NAMM News: Telefunken NA Completes Vintage-Inspired Mic Line for 2005

At NAMM, Telefunken NA is also introducing the new Telefunken R-F-T M16 (pictured), which incorporates the same tube technology and renowned craftsmanship intended for the professional or project studio. The new handmade, multi-pattern R-F-T M16 offers sonic performance and mechanical design, featuring a circa-1980 NOS (New Old Stock) Phillips JAN 12AX7 WA vintage tube and dual-gold–sputtered, 6-micron center contact capsule. The system comes complete with a remote-controlled nine polar pattern external power supply, shockmount, 25-foot mic cable and handmade wooden microphone box. The mic retails for $1,399.

At the NAMM show, look for Telefunken NA’s exhibition of the Ela M251(E) with 6072A tube, Ela M12, U 47M short body, Ela M270 stereo mic and newly released R-F-T M16. Prices on these models range from $1,399 to $15,995.
