Neural Audio Sponsors Surround Live 5 Workshop at AES Convention

Neural Audio Corporation will sponsor a surround workshop, “Surround Live 5: Delivering the Experience,” on Thursday, October 4, 2007, at the 123rd Audio Engineering Society (AES) Convention in New York City. Also joining Neural Audio in underwriting the event will be Harris Corporation, Sennheiser USA, DigiCo, Dolby, TiMax and beyerdynamic.

The daylong special event will be presented at the Broad Street Ballroom at 41 Broad St. in downtown Manhattan. Created and produced by Frederick Ampel of Technology Visions with major support from the Sports Video Group, this marks the event’s fifth consecutive workshop that is provided exclusively to AES attendees.

The program is scheduled to include a presentation from Neural Audio CEO Geir Skaaden and demonstrations/presentations by Randy Conrod (Harris Corporation), Kurt Graffy (ARUP Acoustics), Fred Aldous (Fox Sports), Tom Sahara (Turner Networks), Michael Nunan (CTV Television), Michael Pappas (KUVO radio) and Jim Hilson (Dolby Laboratories).

Skaaden will also speak at other sessions during the AES conference, including “Broadcast Session B3: Innovations in Digital Radio” on Friday, October 5 from 2:30 p.m. to 4:30 p.m.; and “Workshop W11: Surround Contribution for Radio and TV” on Saturday, October 6, from 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m.
