New York, NY (August 28, 2026)—New from the folks at Celestion is the CDX1-1413 Ultra-Compact Screw-Thread High Frequency Compression Driver, a 25mm (1-inch) exit, high-frequency compression driver utilizing a neodymium magnet.
The CDX1-1413 is an ultra-compact threaded variant of Celestion’s well-established CDX1-1412 driver, the primary difference being the CDX1-1413’s integration of an industry-standard 35mm (1.38-inch) screw-thread fitting, which ensures compatibility with horn flares featuring threaded connections, and makes the CDX1-1413 a versatile, drop-in solution for sound reinforcement equipment designers.

The CDX1-1413 is built into a compact chassis with dimensions 60 mm (2.4 inches) diameter x 34.5 mm (1.4 inches) deep and weighs 0.4 kg (0.9 pounds). Specs include a frequency range of 1500 Hz to 20 kHz, voice-coil diameter 35 mm (1.4 inches), power rating 70W continuous (35W AES standard), and sensitivity 106 dB. The recommended minimum crossover frequency is 2 kHz @ 12 dB/octave, and impedance is rated 8Ω. The CDX1-1413 is designed to mate perfectly with Celestion T5951 and T5952 horns.
Construction highlights include a 34mm (1.4-inch) diameter edgewound copper-clad aluminum voice coil paired with a single-piece polyimide film diaphragm and surround, fabricated using a highly rigid engineering thermoplastic. Acoustic foam is employed internally to minimize air cavity resonances and to damp unwanted reflections from the inside of the cover.

The CDX1-1413 compact form factor facilitates installation in small cabinets where internal space is at a premium, or for integration into multiple-driver horns and horn manifolds.
