Syntaur is now shipping the MegaDisk for the Akai MPC—a single floppy disk filled with 31 complete instrument sounds. Instruments such as Sitar, Vibes, Flutes, Bells, Orchestra Strings and Brass are of a small file size to enhance memory efficiency. A loading a program file maps sounds to every pad in every bank; Syntaur promises no “dead pads” or duplicated banks.
