NYC Sound Lab Opens in Union Square

CEO Sean Anderson is set to open NYC Sound Lab in in Union Square, New York City and will celebrate with a launch party on Thursday, May 5, 2005.

CEO Sean Anderson is set to open NYC Sound Lab in in Union Square, New York City and will celebrate with a launch party on Thursday, May 5, 2005. “Think music production meets gym membership, and you will understand the concept behind this revolutionary musical playground,” says a statement issued by the studio.

The Sound Lab comes fully stocked with a an entire floor of equipment. Musicians are granted access to equipment via a monthly membership.

Due to partnerships with Foratt Electronics and Guitar Center the studio will include MPCs, Pro Tools digital workstations and Reason, along with a 64-track digital mixing studio.

Before one dives into this audio playground, members can enroll in an audio production school, aka Beat School, to learn basic recording techniques.

Anderson is a DJ of 16 years who has worked with such acts as Biggie, Fat Joe & Jay-Z.

Industry and Press are invited to attend the grand opening launch party to see the space and join in a Q&A with the CEO and staff on Thursday, May 5, 2005, at NYC Sound Lab, at 29 West 17th Street (between 5th and 6th Avenue), 4th Floor, from 6 p.m. to 10 p.m. The lab opens to the general public on Friday May 6, 2005.
