Oasis Mastering, the Studio City, Calif.-based mastering facility and home to mastering engineer/studio owner Eddy Schreyer, recently installed three Cube-Tec AudioCube 5 mastering systems.
The three dual-Xeon processor-based AudioCube 5 systems include 36GB dystem and audio drives, CD and DVD burners, a Mykerinos 24-channel audio card, Wavelab 4 and Nuendo 2.0 editors, and NetSupport remote help software. Because all three systems will be used for stereo and multichannel work, they are configured with a combination of eight 2-channel and three 8-channel Cube-Tec Mastering VPIs (plug-ins).
