Ocean Way Nashville has announced a change in the management with the hiring of Glenda Cones as studio manager. Cones, who has been with the studio’s parent company Belmont University for almost a decade, was formerly director of strategic programs for the Mike Curb School of Music Business.

She takes the helm of the Nashville studio with anticipation of some incredible changes as well as thoughts of nurturing the legacy of quality and service Ocean Way has established in the past 10 years on Music Row. “Ocean Way has always been committed to setting a new standard in the recording industry,” she said. “I am honored to be a part of it and thrilled with the challenge of continuing to move that bar.”

Cones, who works along side Belmont dean and Word Records president Jim Van Hook is excited about the switch in work environment from campus life to studio living. “I love being in the studio and the whole creative aspect of the music business. I always have,” she said. Cones is no stranger to the audio world. Her husband, producer/engineer, Mickey Cones has been a regular at Nashville studios, enforcing what Glenda has learned in her years of experience in the music industry.
