Post Logic Studios Audio Mixer Jamie Santos Wins 2006 Emmy Award

Post Logic Studios (Hollywood, Calif.) announces that senior audio mixer Jamie Santos won a 2006 Emmy Award in the category of Outstanding Sound Mixing (Variety or Music Series or Special or Animation) for the 78th Annual Academy Awards show, which aired on the ABC network in March. The honor was bestowed during the annual Creative Arts Emmy Awards ceremony held in Los Angeles on August 19, 2006.

Santos has contributed sound mixing to the Academy Awards telecast for the past six years. Some 40 million viewers tuned in to the 78th Annual Academy Awards broadcast worldwide.

Santos’ recent projects at Post Logic include season two episodes of The Contender and Comedy Central’s Roast of William Shatner. Santos’ credits also include CBS reality series The Amazing Race, AFI Tribute to Sean Connery, DVD featurettes, television film trailers, commercial ads, radio promos and more.

“Receiving an Emmy was quite an exciting event,” Santos says. “Doing the pre-production mix for the Academy Awards show is challenging because it requires you to properly mix and level many montages and clips within a very short turnaround period. One of the many things I like about Post Logic Studios is the fact that the company truly supports its creative artists. It provides the environment and resources for each individual to concentrate on the craft, which makes my job more enjoyable and easier to do.”

Larry Birstock, CEO of Post Logic Studios, congratulated Santos on the win: “It’s fantastic to see Post Logic talents recognized by the industry, but it’s a greater honor still to be associated with such talent. Post Logic Studios strives to serve the television and feature film market with the industry’s most creative and capable artists, and we congratulate Jamie on his well-deserving work.”
