Post Production Pro.com, based in Hollywood, Calif., has launched a new social networking Website for media professionals who work in post-production.
“This has been a long time coming,” says Website co-founder and industry veteran, Herb Dow A.C.E., a longstanding member of the American Cinema Editors. “We are very excited to have created an online destination for all post production professionals.”
Website co-founder Belinda Merritt adds, “This is the first social media Website we know of geared specifically to the post-production industry.”
Post Production Pro.com welcomes all post-production professionals to join the site, including producers, editors, assistant editors, apprentices, post-production assistants, post supervisors, post coordinators, visual effects supervisors, music supervisors, online editors, colorists, graphic artists and facility technicians.
Post Production Pro.com uses the technology of the Web to provide a virtual meeting place for post-production professionals. Members can share issues and experiences and exchange job referrals. They can also post blogs, pictures and event announcements.
“It provides post pros with a forum to express their needs and share their needs with colleagues,” says Post Production Pro.com’s Brian Amandus.
