Ian Jeffreys has joined Fluid—a music, sound design and visual effects studio in New York City—as a music producer. In his new post, Jeffreys will work within Fluid’s original music scoring/sound design division with composer/executive music producer David Shapiro, composers Andrew Sherman and Judson Crane and sound designer Fred Szymanski. In the short time he has been with Fluid, Jeffreys has worked on projects for Cingular, Sony, Mountain Dew, Longhorn Steakhouse and Bounty.
Jeffreys comes to Fluid after running his own music production and publishing company for four years, Cilantro Music (New York, N.Y.), during which time he wrote and co-produced his debut pop album, Gemini, to be released on May 9. During this period of time Jeffreys also worked closely with film composer Stephen Endelman through his Stork Farm Productions (Garrison, N.Y.) on music for films including De-Lovely, The Blue Butterfly and Evelyn.
