Rain Recording has introduced the LiveBook Sketch SK1 ($1,299.95) and SK2 ($1,399.95) mobile audio workstations. The new LiveBook Sketch features Intel Core Solo processing, mobile Centrino technology, extended battery life and a 14.1-inch display.
The SK1 model offers 512 MB of RAM, while the SK2 offers 1 GB of RAM. The LiveBook Sketch includes a 2MB L2 cache, Azalia soundcard and a full complement of I/O ports. The units weigh 5.5 pounds each, and Rain Recording states that they offer improved power efficiency without limiting performance.
