SAE Institute-Nashville announced that recent graduate Chad Shambaugh received a nomination for the “Rising Star” award for the Midsouth Regional Emmy Awards.

The award, sponsored by the Tennessee Film, Entertainment and Music Commission, is presented to an industry professional in the audio field who shows extraordinary promise based on their body of work and standards set forth by The National Academy of Television Arts and Sciences.

Shambaugh, a 2004 Audio Technology graduate of SAE Institute’s Nashville campus, became focused on the sound-for-picture and sound design production fields while attending SAE’s nine month program. Upon graduation, Shambaugh joined 615 Music in Nashville and has been involved in the production, engineering and mastering of national commercial jingles and theme music for various major television networks including MSNBC, Animal Planet, The Food Channel and HGTV, as well as music for the TV shows The Today Show and Live with Regis and Kelly.

The awards ceremony will be held at the Renaissance Hotel in Nashville on January 28, 2006.
