SAE Implements Laptop Program

Beginning this summer, SAE Institute will equip all newly enrolled U.S. students with individual laptop computers.

Beginning this summer, SAE Institute will equip all newly enrolled U.S. students with individual laptop computers, according to a statement issued by the school.

Upon enrollment, each Audio Technology student in SAE’s Nashville, New York and Miami schools will receive an Apple iBook, G4 1GHz laptop configured with a host of applications for both classroom and personal use. The iBooks will come standard with 512 MB of RAM, an Airport Extreme Wireless Network Card and Apple Remote Desktop client software. Apple’s Soundtrack software will also be included, as well as a Digidesign Mbox with ProTools LE. The computers will further be backed by the AppleCare Protection plan, which offers a range of service and support products to aid in long-term use and compatibility for students.
