SAE Institute and Universal Audio Develop Worldwide Educational Partnership

SAE Institute has announced an educational partnership and trademark licensing agreement between AMS-Neve and Universal Audio. As part of this new alliance, Universal Audio will outfit SAE stations worldwide with UAD-1 cards and UA’s full suite of plug-ins, including the forthcoming emulations of classic AMS-Neve signal processors. In addition, Universal Audio will provide SAE with TDM plug-ins for all their compatible audio workstations worldwide.

While students enrolled in SAE’s Audio Technology Program have been using mic pres, compressors, and software plug-ins from Universal Audio for years, as well as both classic and cutting-edge consoles and outboard gear from Neve, the new partnership will offer further opportunities for in-depth studies in modeling and plug-in technology. Furthermore, the development of Neve licensed plug-ins will serve to keep students educated in the most up-to-date technologies in analog/digital convergence, while utilizing the same professional quality gear used in top recording sessions.
