SAE Institute Miami Graduate Wins His Second Grammy

SAE Institute announced that recent graduate José “Hyde” Cotto received this year’s Latin Grammy for Best Urban Record for his work on Daddy Yankee’s latest album, Barrio Fino. Hyde has continued to work with artists and producers such as Vico C, Echo, Yaga & Mackie, Ivy Queen and Tego Calderon. Having previously received a Latin Grammy, Hyde attributes his success to the training he received and the connections he made while attending SAE’s Miami campus.

“I can honestly say that going to SAE Miami was one of the best decisions I have ever made,” he says. “I feel the training I received at SAE has fast-forwarded my career 10 years into the future. Without the skills I developed there, I don’t think I would have been able to meet the challenges that I am facing today.”

Hyde is currently chief engineer at Miami’s The Lab Studios, working with top musical artists, television and movie productions, and pursuing his own artistic career.
