SAE Takes On Hollywood

SAE Institute, an educator in pro audio and multimedia, has announced plans for its new 6565 Sunset Boulevard campus in the heart of Hollywood. Classes begin in spring of 2005. The new facility, already under construction, will offer SAE’s pro audio facilities and instructors to Hollywood audio, post-production and multimedia/film markets. This continued expansion of SAE’s network of worldwide facilities, which has headquarters in Byron Bay, Australia, marks its fourth U.S. campus to date, with further locations upcoming.

SAE Institute, an educator in pro audio and multimedia, has announced plans for its new 6565 Sunset Boulevard campus in the heart of Hollywood. Classes begin in spring of 2005. The new facility, already under construction, will offer SAE’s pro audio facilities and instructors to Hollywood audio, post-production and multimedia/film markets. This continued expansion of SAE’s network of worldwide facilities, which has headquarters in Byron Bay, Australia, marks its fourth U.S. campus to date, with further locations upcoming.

The Los Angeles campus will offer the latest in pro audio technology and network integration via 25 studios, control rooms and workstations. The 19,000 square-foot facility will include an integrated mixing theater, blue screen stage, and three surround sound-equipped studios. Course offerings include Audio Technology, Digital Film Producer, Electronic Music Producer and Basic Media Certificate in varying degree and centification programs. All students completing the Audio Technology curriculum will also receive Digidesign’s official Pro Tools 101 certification, as well as participate in interactive demonstrations lectures from top artists, engineers and producers in the industry.

Students also have the option to continue their education to obtain a university degree in conjunction with SAE’s worldwide academic partners. Apple and Digidesign will provide each student with their own laptop computer with complete Pro Tools recording setup and built-in wireless networking. Additional technology and student incentive programs will be provided by Blue Sky, Focusrite, Guitar Center and SE Microphones. SAE Institute‚s Los Angeles campus will begin accepting applications for its Audio Technology Program on December 1, 2004.
