(L-R): Rob Ascough, managing director, Shure Asia; Jeff Krull, vice president of engineering; Yang Zhi Ping, vice chairman of Suzhou Industrial Park Administration Committee; Chris Schyvinck, executive vice president of operations, Shure Incorporated; Xue Xiao Xing, deputy director of Suzhou Industrial Park Customs Bureau; and Oscar Fulvio Hernandez Rojo, general manager, Shure Asia
Shure Incorporated hosted the grand opening ceremony for its two new locations in China: a manufacturing facility in Suzhou and a sales and marketing office in Shanghai. The office in Shanghai will provide support to Shure’s customers and channel partners in China and throughout the rest of Asia.
The state-of-the-art Suzhou manufacturing facility has been conducting production trials for several months, but is now at full production of select product lines. In March, Shure appointed Oscar Fulvio Hernandez as the plant manager for the facility.
“We are all very excited about this new chapter in Shure’s history,” said Chris Schyvinck, executive vice president of Shure. “China is a key market for our company’s strategic growth goals as we expand into Asia, and it’s essential in order for us to provide support and service for our growing customer base in the region.”
“Just like all of our other plants, the Suzhou facility will be ISO certified in the near future,” added Schyvinck. “All of our products have earned a reputation for their ruggedness and reliability over the past 80 years and the China-made products will be no different. We want our customers to know that our high quality standards are the same regardless of where a product is made.”
