Sixth Annual Pacific Northwest Studio Summit Announced

The Northwest recording community will come together Saturday, March 4, 2006 (from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m.), at Seattle’s Experience Music Project for a full day of education and networking at The Recording Academy’s Sixth Annual Pacific Northwest Studio Summit. Featuring GC Pro as its title sponsor, the summit brings together individuals from all walks of the music industry to focus on the craft and creations of sound recording.

The 2006 Summit includes a keynote interview with producer/engineer Joe Chiccarelli; mastering legend Bernie Grundman is also featured. Producer Mike Clink will round out the day of presenting recording masters.

Other scheduled panels include a look at today’s changing master delivery and archiving standards for digital recording, featuring Steve Smith from Avastor Hard Drives and Rick Seneschal from Microsoft Studios. Throughout the day, GC Pro will provide hands-on demonstrations of some of the newest recording equipment.

Admission is free for Recording Academy members, $30 for students and EMP members and $40 for the general public.
