SKB Corporation announces that Carl Massano (pictured), creative director at SKB Corporation, passed away on December 2, 2009 after a lengthy illness.
Massano graduated from Queens College of The City University of New York in 1975 and began his career as an art teacher in the Bronx. He later moved to Southern California and began a new career in graphic design for a publishing group in Bellflower, Calif. Massano later started Massano Advertising Design with his wife Carolyn, where he began producing graphics for SKB Corporation. In 1992 Massano Design was acquired by SKB and Massano became the in-house agency, continuing to produce all advertising material, product literature, and Website and trade show creative.
Massano is survived by his wife, sister, three stepchildren, five grandchildren and the multitude of friends within the SKB family.
SKB states that all who knew him “enjoyed his great sense of humor, the way he could tell a joke or story and appreciated his intelligence and creativity. He will be fondly remembered by all who knew him as a wonderful friend and mentor.”
