Celebrating its 24th anniversary, the 2005 JazzFest Heritage Music Weekend (Chicago) relied on an SLS Loudspeakers sound system, which was used for performances by jazz musicians Julia Huff, Ernestine Anderson and Crosswind.

“We were very excited to be a part of this type of event,” comments Rod Falconer, national sales manager for SLS Loudspeakers. “We provided the LS8800s and LS8115s, which were a huge hit. The units provided full coverage without having to turn the volume up too loud. This was a great event to be a part of. ”

“We first heard about SLS Loudspeakers from a billboard featuring Quincy Jones,” says Geraldine de Haas, president/founder/CEO of Jazz Unites, which presents the festival. “We felt it would be a great tie-in to use the SLS units for JazzFest. I was absolutely spoiled by the SLS speakers. The sound was incredible. They made the festival very enjoyable, and we look forward to working with them next year.”
