Smart Loops released Vol. 1 and Vol. 2 ($99 each) of its flagship Pro Drum Works drum loop libraries in REX format for Reason, Pro Tools, Digital Performer, Logic, Cubase, Nuendo and other Mac and Windows applications that support ACID, REX or Apple Loops formats. The collection offers realistic, professional-quality drum tracks performed by Smart Loops founder and Pearl Drums artist Frank Basile for rock, pop and country styles. It provides loops and samples performed as straight and shuffle feels on three separate drum kits: Acoustic, Trap and Thunder Kits.
Loops are optimized for time-stretching between 75 and 150 bpm. Each volume includes more than 3,000 grooves and fills, performed on three different drum kits, for a total of more than 9,000 loops. Grooves can be used as-is or mixed and matched. The collection includes loops for pickups, intros, fills, verses, choruses, bridge sections and endings, as well as individual one-shot samples at multiple velocities for each drum and cymbal. Crash cymbals are separate from grooves and fills so that they can be used only as needed.
