SONiVOX Announces New Software Division

Sound developer SONiVOX (formerly Sonic Implants) in Somerville, Mass., announces the existence of its in-house MI software development team. Initially supporting SONiVOX and third-party partner products, the SONiVOX MI software team has developed a universally compatible player technology that focuses on intelligent MIDI performance, intuitive interfaces ands sonic fidelity.

In the past, SONiVOX has provided embedded software audio solutions to large Fortune 500 companies, including Motorola, Analog Devices and Google. This new development signals the company’s further expansion into the pro MI market.

SONiVOX states that the first releases from its MI software team will be affordably priced downloadable virtual instruments for Mac and PC in VST, RTAS, Audio Units and stand-alone formats. The company says it expects to ship new products by July 31, 2008.
