Sony Oxford Plug-Ins Re-Branded as Sonnox

Sony Oxford plug-ins will trade under the new name of Sonnox, effective April 2007. The new company will continue to support and promote the existing range of Oxford plug-ins (EQ, Dynamics, Limiter, Inflator, Reverb and Transient Modulator) as well as expand the product line.

“The Sony Oxford plug-ins reputation for quality and performance reflects the pedigree of our products,” says Rod Densham, Sonnox’ managing director. “As an independent company with global recognition, we are dedicated to improving and expanding these tools. We are confident Sonnox can look forward to a future of continued growth.”

Sonnox is launching a full range of native Oxford plug-ins at Musikmesse in Franfkfurt, Germany this week that are compatible with Audio Units, VST and RTAS applications such as Logic, Digital Performer, Cubase, Nuendo and Pro Tools LE.

“The demand for true native compatibility for Oxford plug-ins has grown dramatically over the past 18 months,” says sales and marketing manager Nathan Eames. “We are delighted to be showing all our native plug-ins on Logic and Cubase at this year’s Musikmesse. The initial interest after launching the first three Audio Units versions in January has been genuinely overwhelming, with many users indicating their preference for the Oxford 6 Pack bundle when all the plug-ins are compatible with their platform. The wait is over: they can now take advantage of the 40-percent savings on the Oxford 6 Pack bundle and can benefit from the same professional quality tools that Pro Tools TDM users have been enjoying for years.”
