Soundfirm Purchases Harrison TFT Consoles

Soundfirm Australia recently purchased two of Harrison’s IKIS-based TFT Console Control Systems for its Sydney facilities.

Soundfirm Australia recently purchased two of Harrison’s IKIS-based TFT Console Control Systems for its Sydney facilities.

Harrison’s wide viewing angle TFTs allow Soundfirm’s mix teams to scrutinize each channel’s waveform envelope together with all relevant channel data above each console strip. Post-production applications display the waveform with a 20 second window; 10 second PreView™ display before the live point and 10 second History display after the live point. Harrison’s PreView waveform is becoming a must for post-production facilities.

Soundfirm also supplemented their IKIS-based TFT Console System with Harrison’s recently released DTC Cards and plug-ins. The DTC Card comes equipped with 32 bus limiters with “Look Ahead” and “Anti-Breathe” control together with 20 seconds of built-in audio looping. In addition, Harrison offers a whole suite of Digital Tools, such as De-Esser, Trainer De-Esser, Level EQ, Telephone Filters, and the Multi-Band Expander, among others.

Sounfirm is recognized as owning the “largest mixing stage in Australia,” the famed Film Mix One, as well as a second room that now has full 40-bit, floating point, WidePipe digital console processing, Dolby Digital 5.1 Surround (SRD) and Dolby Stereo.
