The Society of Professional Audio Recording Services (SPARS) is partnering with the Conservatory of Recording Arts & Sciences, CD Baby, Disc Makers, G.A.N.G., PMC, Shure, Studio Suite 9, Waves, and Dave and Lisa Hampton for the first NAMM seminar package whose topics relate specifically to the creative music process. The SPARS Sessions @ the H.O.T. Zone will offer a series of free special training seminars, face-to-face meetings, networking opportunities, and one-on-one mentoring to strengthen the knowledge base of industry colleagues. The sessions are designed to address the major changes in the music industry and how those changes are affecting the creative music process.
Some noted industry professionals who are scheduled to appear include Bob Baker (The Buzz Factor), Robert Brock (Conservatory of Recording Arts & Sciences), Lisa Chamblee-Hampton (Making Music HerStory music compilation album and documentary film), Dave Earl (Pyramind), Dave Hampton (The Business of Audio Engineering), Ariel Hyatt (Ariel Publicity and Cyber PR), Michael Laskow (Taxi), Paul Lipson (Pyramind and G.A.N.G.), Chandra Lynn (Glow Marketing), Brian Mazzaferri (of the band I Fight Dragons), Gino Sigismondi (Shure Inc.) and Tony van Veen (Disc Makers and CD Baby).
The SPARS Sessions @ the H.O.T. Zone area will be accessible to recording professionals, studio owners, musicians, engineers and producers who register with SPARS prior to the NAMM show. All registered attendees will receive an e-mail confirmation, which will allow entrance to the seminar area.
SPARS members and companies that fit the NAMM membership criteria will additionally be allowed complimentary entrance to the NAMM show. Companies must register prior to December 31, 2009. Attendees can register by going to www.spars.com and clicking on the "Register Hot Zone" button.
