StarCity Recording Company and Announce Contest for Studio Time

StarCity Recording Company and, official sponsors of the East Coast Indie Stage as presented by the 2006 Vans Warped Tour, have announced a contest for musicians. By registering for a subscription to, a cost-effective digital solution for music distribution, artists are automatically entered to win free studio time at StarCity Recording, a world-class facility located in Bethlehem, Pa. and operated by music industry veteran Jeff Glixman.

To enter, subscribing artists must post their music on Glixman, a successful producer whose credits include Kansas, Bob Marley, the Allman Brothers and Ludacris, will then review the entries and select six winners to record two tracks each at StarCity. Each track will be added to a StarCity sampler CD, which will then be distributed nationally.

Now, not only will selling their music become more profitable, but they’ll have a shot at winning a tremendous prize.” is an online music service that allows musicians to create their own prepaid “music cards,” which are worth one to 20 song downloads per card, to sell or give away to fans for easier and more affordable offline song distribution. Instead of duplicating CDs for sale at performances, up-and-coming musicians can turn to, which provides the tools for creating, printing and distributing an unlimited number of prepaid music cards for an annual subscription fee of $150. Each prepaid music card has its own unique access code that allows fans to download songs from the artist’s library.
