Formerly a part of Sterling Sound’s After-Hours program, mastering engineer Jay Franco is now available to master virtually any project at a moment’s notice. Since joining Sterling Sound (New York City) in 2003, Franco has worked on top-selling releases from such artists as The Neptunes, Erykah Badu, Stephen and Damian “Jr. Gong” Marley, Art Brut, Rick Ross, CéU, the Beastie Boys and Diddy. His most recent projects include Here I Stand, the latest full-length release from R&B superstar Usher. Franco has also mastered releases for Universal Records, Capitol, Warner Music and Sony BMG.
Franco has worked closely with renowned mastering engineer Chris Athens since arriving at Sterling Sound. His specialized mastering console contains an array of custom analog gear incorporated into a state-of-the-art digital system for maximum flexibility and speed.
