After working closely with the Shine technology department, SNS determined that in order to improve workflow among its multiple editing suites, which feature Avid on Dell PCs, Shine needed to implement a solution that would work cross-platform and resolution. SNS supplied the media company with a globalSAN™ X-16— a 16-bay, six-user system with 4 Terabytes of high-performance SATA storage.
The globalSAN X-16 employs an iSCSI initiator to enable an IP-based SAN. The easy-to-use, yet powerful technology enables a high-speed, lower-cost storage solution that is capable of spanning nearly any IP network.
