SurgeX of Pipersville, Penn., has merged its North American operations with Electronic Systems Protection, Inc. (ESP) of Zebulon, N.C. SurgeX is a leading manufacturer of AC surge elimination and power conditioning products for the professional audio, video, broadcast and multimedia industries, while ESP is a leading original equipment manufacturer of power protection technology.
SurgeX states that the announcement reaffirms its dedication to power protection for the professional A/V market, and is a strategic addition to ESP’s power protection business. The merger will reportedly extend ESP’s product line capabilities and will enable SurgeX to both expand within existing markets and penetrate new markets using ESP’s resources and expanded distribution. SurgeX management will join the ESP team and by late January all product manufacturing will be consolidated into ESP’s facility in Zebulon, N.C.
