An additional four line inputs are provided, plus ADAT and S/PDIF digital connection for a total of 18 inputs and 12 outputs. Also recently announced, the new Tascam FW-1082 Audio/MIDI Interface and Control Surface features 10 audio inputs and 4 outputs. Tascam is now shipping the IF-FW/DM FireWire expansion card, which adds 24 inputs and 24 outputs from a computer DAW to TASCAM’s DM-24 Digital Mixer.
The IF-FW/DM is an expansion card that follows the same design as the ADAT, AES/EBU, TDIF and analog expansion cards for the DM-24. Estimated street price is less than $3,500.
