John Maier, CEO of TC Electronic U.S., has announced Ken Blecher’s appointment to director of sales for the live, install and broadcast markets for the Westlake Village, Calif.-based company beginning July 1, 2005.
According to Maier, “We’ve moved to a market-based sales structure in our continuing effort to establish a business model that reflects the markets we serve. Ken’s experience and relationships are precisely what we need to continue our success in the live and broadcast markets and to establish ourselves in the installation market.”
Earlier this year TCUS announced a new initiative and a series of products from Lab.gruppen that will expand their reach from tour sound into the installation business.
Blecher spent the last several years as an independent pro audio consultant for U.S.-based systems integrators, contractors, and manufacturers assisting firms with strategic and tactical planning, marketing, and sales. Prior to establishing his own consulting and design business, Blecher spearheaded the creation of a new sales and marketing organization at Harman Professional Projects Group. In his role as director of contracting market development for Harman, Blecher was responsible for integrating JBL Pro and all other Harman Pro Audio products into the contracting marketplace. Before that he owned his own system integration firm in the Florida area.
