Telex Communications of Burnsville, Minn. announces that Nicolas Betancur is its new International Inside Sales Representative for Latin America. In his new role, Betancur will assist the company’s International Department with sales, orders and technical assistance for the Pro Audio and Intercom groups.
Betancur is relocating to the Twin Cities from Miami, Fla., where he completed his Master of Science degree in Music Engineering Technology. Betancur is originally from Medellin, Colombia, and graduated from the University of Medellin with a Bachelor of Science degree in Electronics Engineering.
Betancur has worked as an information technology and systems engineer, a live venue assistant and an intern designer for Web conferencing solutions. He has also taken courses on industry-related subjects including electroacoustics, transducer design, adaptive filtering techniques, EASE acoustic design modeling, DSP theory and application on audio analysis and synthesis, psychoacoustic and psychovisual modeling, and multimedia information systems.
