Promoting a newly released album—Save Me, San Francisco—Train contracted with LMG Touring in Orlando, Fla., for the band's North American tour. According to Steve McCale, director of touring at LMG, “Our goal was to provide Train with a turnkey solution that would meet all their audio, video and lighting needs, wrapped into a compact, easy-to-use touring package to offer maximum flexibility.”
LMG's audio control package for the tour included two custom-built touring rigs built around Digidesign VENUE Profile consoles. Each mix zone includes integrated mini-computers equipped with Pro Tools, iTunes, Smaart software and system control software. The monitor system uses L-Acoustics 115XT, DV-SUBs and ARCS speakers, and takes full advantage of the Digidesign PQ control system.
