The popular guitar and vocal duo Tuck & Patti recently returned to Bernie Grundman Mastering to complete their new album, I Remember You. Engineer Howard Johnston, who mixed all of the duo’s previous 10 albums, was on hand for this new release on the T&P Records/Universal Music Group International label.

San Francisco native Patti Cathcart started her public career singing in church choirs and was subsequently influenced by the blossoming San Francisco music scene associated with Bill Graham’s Fillmore Auditorium. Tuck Andress, who studied classical guitar at Stanford University, was inspired by swing music, and later rock and jazz. Andress’ guitar-playing technique involves simultaneously playing a bass line, chords, melody and a percussive backbeat to create a sound that seems to emanate from multiple guitars.

Tuck & Patti met in 1978, quickly becoming a musical mainstay of the San Francisco Bay Area music scene, and today are enduring troubadours renowned throughout the world, with an especially large following in Japan and Europe.
